If you find that your website is not working on your machine but is working on others, this is because your DNS cache needs refreshing.  This most often occurs after migration to a new IP address or host.

On a Windows machine open a command prompt (as administrator) and type the following:

logo

#ipconfig /flushdns

You can also stop and start the DNS service:

#net stop dnscache

#net start dnscache

Linux

root@support [~]# cd /etc/rc.d/init.d
root@support [/etc/rc.d/init.d]# ./nscd restart

MAC

Tiger: $ lookupd -flushcache

Leopard: $ dscacheutil -flushcache
